Modernizing Leadership Foundations: Developing High-Performing People Leaders

TAGS: LEADERSHIP, INCLUSION, TALENT MANAGEMENT, TRAINING

THE OPPORTUNITY

A global marketing, advertising, and design agency came to The Cee Suite to enhance their existing manager foundations training to ensure it reflected their values of inclusion and equity and supported people leaders in developing skills and behaviors that supported leading high-performing teams in practice.

OUR PROCESS

We began by interviewing the Talent Team, DEI committee, and senior leadership to align on desired business outcomes and current organizational understanding. After assessing their existing content, we recommended a transition from a one-off training to a modular manager learning series. This approach encouraged a deeper understanding of difficult leadership topics and provided space for managers to process and practice new concepts in real-world scenarios.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

  • Transformed the existing day-long foundations training to center on psychological safety, inclusion, and modern leadership behaviors.

  • A four-part training series was delivered monthly, with managers placed into cohorts to create a shared continuous learning journey.

  • Additional workshops for executives and individual contributors to ensure organization-wide alignment on new leadership standards.

THE IMPACT

The Inclusive Manager program received a 92% effectiveness rating from participants.

TESTIMONIALS

“[I enjoyed] the safe space created in the workshops, and the tools developed for fostering that psychological safety within our teams.”

“[I enjoyed] having real, honest conversations about identity and the deeper check-ins shared with my co-workers.”
